The secret’s out. We’ve got something new coming. Well, actually, three new somethings - our new Athrú trilogy of single malt Irish whiskeys. This release isn’t set to be available until later in the year, so you could be amongst the first people in the world to sample these new offerings. How? By joining our special Virtual Tasting and Distillery Tour on February 17th.
Our first trilogy - The Creation Trilogy included three exceptional Irish single malts, all with unique characteristics. We’re extremely proud of them, and wanted to create something just as distinctive. Enter The Odyssey Trilogy, which we’re offering a special virtual tasting of on February 17th, so you can sample these extraordinary expressions for yourself.
This event will give you an exclusive sneak peek into the three whiskeys we’ll be using in our exclusive bottlings - and as this trilogy isn’t due to be released until much later in 2022, this is a real treat for the whiskey curious amongst you.
During the virtual event, you’ll not only get the chance to sample our newest offerings, you’ll also gain a real insight into how they were created and selected - Head Distiller Ollie Alcorn and Athrú Founder Dave Raethorne will be talking all things trilogy, unveiling the secrets of our newest releases and discussing the stories behind the spirits.
At Athrú, when making our single malt Irish whiskey, we don’t just focus on ingredients in our drinks (although of course, they’re a big part of what makes our whiskey so special). We also love to experiment and explore, and part of this journey to create the finest Irish whiskey is in using rare and exquisite casks to finish our whiskeys. Also included in this event is details on the processes we use, and how these select casks impart distinctive characteristics and interesting flavours on our whiskey.
